• As a Medical Social Worker, you’ll engage in a range of exciting responsibilities, including: Establishing a care plan in accordance with the physician’s plan of treatment.

• Providing crisis intervention as required.

• Assisting the physician and other caregivers in understanding the significant social, emotional and economic factors influencing the patient’s ability to improve medically.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited school approved by the Council on Social Work Education.

• In Indiana, must also be certified under IC25-23.

• Currently licensed to practice in the state serviced.

• One year social work experience in a health care setting.
