Key Responsibilities

• Establishes work assignments for unit nurse aides and supervises same to assure task completion if in charge of unit.

• Communicates information or data to Supervisor, and/or other disciplines when appropriate.

• Responsible for the timely and accurate administration and documentation of physician ordered medications and/or treatments to assigned residents.

• Maintains facility procedure for the ordering and receiving of physician prescribed medications.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved/accredited School of Nursing and currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.

• Minimum one (1) year experience in the field of nursing, geriatrics preferred.

• Leadership ability and effective communication.
