Key Responsibilities

• include performing substance abuse screenings, assessments, assess treatment needs and therapeutic intervention to adolescents and adults regarding substance abuse problems.

• As part of a multidisciplinary treatment team, the Counselor develops and implements measurable individualized treatment goals and modalities.

• Performs crisis intervention to minimize relapse potential and support goals of treatment plan.

• Must have the ability to clearly communicate, orally and in writing, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, staff, other agencies, and the community.

• secondary school in a behavioral science field Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC)

• Crisis Prevention Institute Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience: Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC)

Work Schedule
