Provides genetic counseling to individuals with a family history of cancer, including information pertaining to risk factors, genetic concepts and inheritance.

Collects medical and family history from patients from a variety of sources including personal interviews, telephone screenings, medical records review and conferring with clinicians.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Masters degree in Medical Genetics/Counseling including clinical experience from an accredited genetics counseling training program.

Minimum five years as a practicing genetics counselor preferred, oncology experience preferred.

Board certified (or eligibility for certification) from the American Board of Genetics Counseling or American Board of Medical Genetics.
