Key Responsibilities

• The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner will provide timely, nonjudgmental, compassionate care to the sexual assault victim.

• This will include a forensic exam, disease prophylaxis, photographic documentation, referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow up, support and participation in legal proceedings.

• The SANE is expected to follow protocols established by Freeman Health System and the SANE Committee.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years nursing experience AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 30 days.

• Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state.

• If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse’s state of residence.
