About the Role

Join Volunteers of America - Greater New York, Inc. as a Rehabilitative Counselor in United States.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the abilities, interests, and challenges of individuals with disabilities.

Develop and implement Individualized Career Plans (ICP) based on assessments, incorporating the client’s preferences, skills, and career goals.

Regularly review and update ICPs to ensure alignment with the client’s evolving needs, goals, and progress.

Collects information about clients through interviews, observations, and tests.

Requirements

Qualifications: A Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Vocational Rehabilitation, or a related field.

At least 3-5 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities in a vocational rehabilitation, career counseling, or workforce development setting.

Certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) from the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) is required.

Previous experience in supervising or mentoring staff, particularly in disability services or workforce development, is highly preferred.
