Job Description

About the Role

Aspire Living & Learning seeks a Part-Time School-Based Physical Therapist in Naugatuck, Connecticut. The PT provides therapy services to students with disabilities to support mobility and independence in school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate students' gross motor and physical functioning.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide direct therapy in classrooms, playgrounds, gyms.
  • Collaborate with educators and related service providers.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and maintain documentation.
  • Train school staff on mobility and positioning techniques.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment.
  • Monitor and document progress.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
  • Current state license.
  • Certification from Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy if applicable.

  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
