Outpatient Orthopedic & Sports Medicine | Darien, CT
A nationally recognized, performance-driven physical therapy organization is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist to join its growing outpatient clinic in Darien, Connecticut. This is an opportunity to work in a highly collaborative, movement-focused environment that blends evidence-based rehabilitation with performance, wellness, and recovery.
This organization was founded with the mission of redefining what physical therapy can be—moving beyond traditional care into injury prevention, athletic performance, and lifelong movement health. With a nationwide footprint and a team of 100+ clinicians, they are deeply integrated into active communities and athletic populations across a wide range of sports and lifestyles.
Position Overview
The Physical Therapist will evaluate, treat, and educate patients across a broad spectrum of orthopedic, sports, and wellness needs. You’ll work with active individuals of all ages from post-operative patients to competitive athletes using advanced manual therapy techniques, cutting-edge recovery tools, and customized treatment plans designed to restore function and optimize performance.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
Deliver hands-on, evidence-based physical therapy for orthopedic and sports-related conditions
Utilize advanced treatment techniques including:
Manual therapy
Functional dry needling
Blood flow restriction therapy (BFR)
Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM)
Therapeutic cupping
Joint mobilization and manipulation
Incorporate biomechanical assessments, gait and running analysis, and return-to-sport testing
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, trainers, and recovery specialists
Educate patients on injury prevention, movement mechanics, and long-term wellness strategies
Support group classes, Pilates-based rehab, circuit training, and performance programming as appropriate
Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with state and payer guidelines
Clinical Environment & Services
Clinicians have access to state-of-the-art equipment and services, including but not limited to:
AlterG anti-gravity treadmill
Force plate testing and movement analysis
Advanced recovery systems (compression boots, cupping, electrical stimulation)
Pilates reformer rehab and mobility sessions
Sports massage, medical massage, and prenatal massage integration
Telehealth services
Specialty programs including vestibular rehab, women’s health, spine care, concussion management, Parkinson’s care (LSVT BIG), and climber- and sport-specific rehabilitation
Why This Opportunity
Work in a modern, performance-oriented clinic—not a high-volume mill
Diverse caseload with athletes, active adults, and complex orthopedic cases
Strong emphasis on continuing education and professional growth
Collaborative, team-based culture with nationally connected clinicians
Ability to integrate fitness, recovery, and prevention into true patient care
Qualifications
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
Active or eligible Connecticut Physical Therapy license
