Key Responsibilities
- The Advanced Practice Provider will provide comprehensive care to patients for the Section of Hematology/Oncology in The Department of Medicine at the Silver Cross Hospital location.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, using advanced clinical skills to manage a caseload of patients.
- Assess, diagnose, initiate delegated medical treatments, perform independent nursing interventions and evaluate care.
- Provide a model of care that is shaped by theory, expanded by science, research and reflective practice and is identified by a holistic and comprehensive approach to the patients.
Requirements
- Master's Degree of Science in Nursing
- Current and/or eligibility for State of Illinois RN and APN licensure/registration
- Must be certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the ANCC or AANP
- Must have or be able to qualify for Illinois and DEA prescribing numbers
Work Schedule
- Days, 8 a. m. - 5 p. m. schedule.
- No call required.
- No weekends required.
- Day shift only - no nights.
