About the Role
Join The GEO Group as a Sex Offender Therapist – Correctional Setting in United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary Duties and Responsibilities Facilitates individual, group, or family therapy sessions for detainees.
- Develops individualized treatment plans for detainees and conducts developmental therapy sessions with them in accordance to treatment plans and specific methodologies and techniques.
- Maintains caseload including documentation of case notes, arranging individual and family sessions, planning interventions and providing therapeutic support to all assigned clients.
Requirements
- State licensing as a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Must be able to perform therapeutic interaction with inmates who have serious psychological problems.
- Must be able to perform psychological evaluation and assessment.
