Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Eligible

This position qualifies for federal student loan forgiveness. After 10 years of qualifying payments while working full-time for a nonprofit employer, the remaining balance on your Direct Loans may be forgiven.

About the Role

Join as a Physician Psychiatrist at an IHS facility in Shiprock, New Mexico. This locum tenens position involves coordinating care for complex patients, mostly in-person with some telehealth. The assignment lasts one year.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct patient histories and physicals autonomously.
Order and analyze diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
Develop treatment plans based on standards of care.
Facilitate decision-making with patients and families.

Requirements

Active, unrestricted state or Federal license.
Active DEA license.
Board certified or eligible in Psychiatry.
Current BLS, ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Minimum 3 years of experience.
Experience with Native American population preferred.

Work Schedule

8-hour shifts, 8am to 4:30pm.
Monday through Friday with some weekends.
