  • Support and enhance clinical and operational activities within the scope of knowledge, experience and training with a focus on quality, efficiency, and patient confidentiality. Responsible for providing support to providers in all clinic areas including intake, patient education, diagnostic ultrasound services, lab, pre-op, post-op/recovery, utility rooms and discharge. Essential Duties and Responsibilities80% CLINICALProvide surgical and recovery room support on abortion service days as scheduled and PRN
  • Administer medications to patients including pain medications, prophylactic antibiotics and procedural sedation. Monitor orientation, vital signs and bleeding to determine patient st
  • ability and readiness for discharge. Educate patients and support persons on after-care expectations and available support services. Complete accurate documentation in Electronic Health Record system. Consult with the physicians and advanced practice clinicians to confirm clinical accuracy and appropriateness of care plans. Competently uses all patient information system software applications. 20% ADMINISTRATIVETrain newly hired center staff in clinical skills using in-class and hands on skill demonstration to build competency. Manage infection prevention and emergency drills

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal skills Experience with Electronic Health Records, office applications including Word and Excel, and clinical skills including sedation, IV placement and phlebotomy management preferred BLS certification required. ACLS and PALS certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire if not already certified Preferred Qualifications
