Duties
Help

Serve as the Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist for an Army brigade sized unit

  • Deliver individual, group, and unit nutrition services and education to optimize Solder performance, overall unit readiness, and mission success.
  • Conduct assessments to identify nutrition-related concerns of individuals and units.
  • Execute and evaluate programs, services, education, and resources for performance enhancement.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
All Health Care Providers must be able to obtain, within six months, and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) training and certification that is sponsored or endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
Current Advanced Life Support or other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion.
A pre-placement medical examination is required. Moderate to heavy lifting up to 25 pounds is required.

and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges.
This position may require temporary duty (TDY) business travel up to 25% of the time.
The incumbent may be required to work overtime and/or other than normal duty

Work Schedule

for data collection, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
The work requires physical exertion that includes lifting of moderately heavy items, to include treatment tables, exercise equipment, research data collection equipment, and military equipment used by Soldiers.
The work also requires exertion to perform exercises used in physical performance and rehabilitation, including all events in the Army Combat Fitness Test.
