Key Responsibilities
- Triaging urgency of referrals using professional judgment and coordinating diagnostic and laboratory testing that are within the RN (EC) scope of practice by utilizing medical directives.
- Provide pharmacological interventions that include prescribing medications as per RN (EC) scope of practice and by implementation of medical directives.
- Initiate, renew, titrate and discontinue pharmacotherapy as appropriate to ensure vascular risk factors for stroke are well managed meeting stroke prevention guideline targets.
