Key Responsibilities
- Provide group and individual counseling sessions to general education students, as well as monitor the students’ responses to the interventions identified.
- Develop and monitor student responses to behavior intervention plans, including providing support and consultation to general and special education teachers.
- Complete psychosocial assessments to assist in the determination of special education services.
- Conduct functional behavior assessments and communicate the results to all team members in parent
Requirements
- Hold a master's degree in social work; exceptions apply in North Carolina and Ohio
- Hold a valid social work license issued in the state you are applying for.
- Candidates for positions in Michigan must have state approval as a school social worker.
- Knowledge of special education processes and procedures is preferred.
