Key Responsibilities

The OR Nurse acts as a Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room, organizing and administering individualized, professional patient care according to hospital protocols and AORN, ASPAN, and SGNA standards. This role involves participating in patient teaching, incorporating age/cultural needs, and engaging in quality improvement activities across diverse surgical specialties.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a current active CT RN License and have previous Operating Room experience, although OR Novice nurses may apply to a Transition to Practice Program. A BSN is preferred, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required at the time of hire, with CNOR certification being preferred.
