Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Eligible
This position qualifies for federal student loan forgiveness. After 10 years of qualifying payments while working full-time for a nonprofit employer, the remaining balance on your Direct Loans may be forgiven.
About the Role
Join Riverside Health System as a Electrophysiology Physician – Newport News, VA in United States. As a provider with Riverside Health Medical Group, you would join a team of providers who are respected leaders and part of our collaborative care delivery team. Key Responsibilities
- will join a team committed to delivering comprehensive, high-quality care to patients with complex cardiac rhythm disorders, with access to advanced technology and a strong referral network.
- will practice a full spectrum of electrophysiology procedures including: Pacemaker and ICD implants Generator changes Catheter ablations (AFib, SVT, VT) Device management and follow-up Inpatient Responsibilities Provide EP consultations and inpatient rounding at RRMC Evaluate and manage complex arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation, SVT, ventricular arrhythmias, and syncope Interpret telemetry, ECGs, and diagnostic studies Perform EP procedures as indicated Collaborate with hospital teams on care planning and transitions of care Outpatient Responsibilities Evaluate new referrals and manage established EP patients in clinic Perform and follow up on EP procedures and device implants Manage antiarrhythmic and anticoagulation therapies Provide patient education on arrhythmia management and treatment options Coordinate care with referring providers and cardiology subspecialties Partner closely with device clinic and remote monitoring teams Program Involvement Participate in quality improvement initiatives and program development Support growth of electrophysiology services across the region Contribute to clinical workflows and best practices Qualifications Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Eligible for Virginia medical licensure DEA certification Strong clinical and procedural skills in electrophysiology Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care Why our team: Established cardiovascular service line with strong infrastructure Access to advanced EP technology and support staff Collaborative culture with engaged physician leadership Growing referral base and opportunity to expand EP volumes 💼 What Sets You Apart Commitment to safety and quality Passion for patient care and community health Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to evidence-based medicine and learning Collaborative, team approach 🧩 Who We Are: Our Provider Compact Our Mission: To care for others as we would care for those we love – to enhance their wellbeing and improve their health.
