Key Responsibilities
- Ability to determine appropriateness of therapy and contacts physician to clarify or modify order when necessary
- Able to provide verbal and written educational materials to patients when appropriate
- Follows policy for documentation of critical values in the patient's medical record
- Assists with patient care decision making by communicating with physicians, nurses and other health care team members and by making appropriate decisions as needed in emergency situations.
Requirements
- Minimum Associates Degree and graduate of an AMA approved program in Respiratory or Cardio Respiratory Therapy;
- Current completions of BLS and ACLS programs.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
- Current NYS RT License and active membership in the NBRC. Salary Range USD $61.22
