About the Role
Join DCH Health System as a Radiation Therapist – On-Call Required in United States. Overview Performs radiation treatment procedures, administers radiation treatments as prescribed by the physician, and charts daily treatment information. Responsibilities Administers radiation treatments to patients on the linear accelerators per physician prescription.
Key Responsibilities
- Administers radiation treatments to patients on the linear accelerators per physician prescription.
- Detects and reports significant changes in patients’ conditions and determine when to withhold treatment until the physician is consulted.
- Performs other clinical and technical duties with direct or indirect supervision.
- Constructs/prepares immobilization, beam directional and beam modification devices.
Requirements
- as outlined in the Employee Handbook Must adhere to the DCH Behavioral Standards including creating positive relationships with patients/families, coworkers, colleagues and with self.
- Performs essential job functions in a manner that ensures the safety of patients, visitors and employees.
- Identifies and reduces unsafe practices that may result in harm to patients, visitors and employees.
- Recognizes and takes appropriate action to reduce risks and hazards to promote safety for patients, visitors and employees.
Work Schedule
- Full-Time position.
- Call responsibilities required.
- Weekend coverage may be required.
