The Telehealth Clinical Technician (TCT) LVN serves in a generalist role to support Telehealth clinical
programs (mentioned above) from the patient location and across the system. The incumbent provides a
wide range of clinical and technical services that demonstrate complex technical judgment under the
administrative supervision of the Facility Telehealth Coordinator (FTC), and clinical supervision from
the site Nurse Manager. Duties include Tele-presenting: serving as the subject matter expert for store
and forward applications (e. g. dermatology, retinal imaging, ABI measurement, audiology testing, sleep
studies, and EKGs.); supporting Veterans and providers in the use of Veterans Video Connect (VVC);
patient education activities; equipment deployment setup and first-line troubleshooting; scheduling
support; administrative and planning support; and, other program support duties as assigned. The TCT
LVN is the on-site coordinator for all matters relating to telehealth at that site and expected to support
various clinics as needed.

Key Responsibilities

include

Manages complex equipment malfunctions, either independently, or guided by the national telehealth help desk. Serves as the site telehealth subject matter expert; trains and certifies all nursing staff in telehealth (Tele-presenting, store-and-forward)
Initiates consultations for patients on behalf of the Primary Care Provider (PCP).
Performs Store and Forward (SFT) imaging, to include Tele-Retinal screening; Tele-Dermatology; Tele-Wound care; and any other required consultations

• Assists RN Nurse Manager (or designee) to appropriately prioritize patient care needs for Telehealth clinics, including ensuring Telehealth clinics are adequately covered during staff shortages and/or staff call-ins.
