Key Responsibilities

The Registered Respiratory Therapist plans and administers various respiratory therapies, including aerosol, oxygen, and specialty gas therapy, alongside performing airway management and mechanical ventilation duties. This role also involves conducting cardiopulmonary resuscitation, assisting in procedures, and providing comprehensive education to patients, families, staff, and physicians.

Requirements

Candidates must possess an Associate degree in Cardiopulmonary Services or Respiratory Care and hold an active Kentucky Respiratory Care Practitioner license, along with NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist certification. A minimum of one year of critical care experience is preferred, though new graduates are accepted, provided they obtain RRT and ACLS within six months.
