Key Responsibilities

The Speech Language Pathologist prevents, assesses, diagnoses, and treats speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults through evaluations and administering prescribed treatments. They establish patient treatment plans, instruct patients and families, modify care plans, and coordinate with the health team, while also precepting students and directing support staff.
