Key Responsibilities

  • include management of mechanical ventilation, arterial canalization, endotracheal intubation and all other procedures applicable to the field of respiratory care.
  • Communicates with physicians, nurses, other healthcare workers, patients and families.
  • Practices within the guidelines set forth by the delineation of clinical privileges established by the Medical Director and Department Director.
  • Assists with orientation of new employees and students.

Requirements

  • a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within six months of hire.
