Key Responsibilities
- Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting prescribed medications orders, detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
- Direct and verify pharmacy technician order fulfillment; verifying their order entry data, medication preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals
- Correspond with lead pharmacy technician on daily RX capacity to ensure effective workflow and efficient medication delivery
- Provide pharmacological information to facilities and other health care professionals on drug interaction, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceutical’s
Requirements
- Active Tennessee Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License
- Must complete continuing education as required by Tennessee Department of Health Education Requirements:
- Graduate of a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent Additional position information: After hours on
- call rotation 1 weekend about every 5
