Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP): Creating, administering, and organizing individualized plans of treatment for patients.
  • Instructing clients in techniques for more effective communication, including sign language, lip reading and voice improvement.
  • Educating patients and family members about various topics such as communication techniques and strategies to cope with or to avoid personal misunderstandings.
  • Communicating with the dietary department regarding rehabilitation lunches for patients with swallow dysfunctions.

Requirements

  • Requirements of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP): Current Speech Language Pathologist License in current state.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • At least 3 years of Skilled Nursing experience preferred.
