Responsible for lab specimen collection and processing in a timely manner for shipment to Fargo VA for testing

• Conduct quality controls on point of care lab testing machines and perform routine College of American Pathologists (CAP) proficiency testing for all test platforms.

Major Duties include, but are not limited to

Perform a variety of critical care tasks, which include monitoring patients' vital signs, assessing pain levels, executing clinical reminders, performing blood draws when required, applying braces or splints, irrigating ears, collecting culture specimens, changing dressings, and removing sutures or staples, as well as conducting EKGs.
Contribute to the evaluation, planning, implementation, and assessment of nursing care to facilitate the patient's swift return to or maintenance of optimal health, ensuring continuity of care tailored to each patient's unique needs

• Monitor and document the patient's physical state, emotional reactions, skin condition, fluctuations in vital signs, and personal habits, paying close attention to any indications of the patient's response to their illness and treatment, and ensuring all observations are recorded in the designated format.

• Collaborate with PACT staff to create detailed health care and management plans for assigned patients.
