This position is based in the RECL at the MEDVAMC, a complexity level 1A facility, and is responsible for both administrative and clinical duties to the Supervisory Occupational Therapist, Supervisory Rehabilitation Therapist, Rehabilitation Director, and the Rehabilitation and Extended Care Line Executive for patient care.

Help
Major duties for the position include (but are not limited to):
Provides Physical Therapy services to outpatients with a variety of diagnoses referred from Rehabilitation and Extended Care Line Providers, as well as from the Operative Care Line and other approved providers.
Serves as a member of the Rehab interdisciplinary care team and other patient care teams as needed to provide quality, effective, and efficient patient centered care
Independently interprets findings from examination and evaluations and utilizes appropriate test and measures, and integrates findings into the physical therapy plan of care required to fittingly provide direct physical therapy services to patients with a variety of diagnoses for a full range of patient populations
Independently develops a physical therapy prognosis and incorporates examination findings to implement an appropriate patient centered physical therapy rehabilitation plan of care for a variety of diagnoses while using appropriate judgment to modify treatment for changing medical conditions. Must demonstrate knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform more complex patient treatment procedures. May receive guidance for the more complex patients.
