About the Role

Innovative Therapeutic Services seeks a contractual Psychologist to provide psychological evaluations and behavioral health monitoring for children and adolescents in a juvenile detention center in Cheltenham, Maryland. This role supports youth rehabilitation through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological, cognitive, personality, and differential diagnostic evaluations.
• Perform risk assessments and psychosexual evaluations.
• Monitor youth for suicidal ideation, self-harm, and acute behavioral incidents.
• Follow up on juveniles on suicide watch.
• Attend clinical staff meetings.
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology.
• Maryland state license in good standing.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a psychologist.
• Experience with children and adolescents in juvenile detention.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and adolescent development.
• Strong crisis intervention skills.
