The Certified Respiratory Therapist acts as a professional member of the healthcare team, providing respiratory therapy services under the direction of a registered respiratory therapist. This includes performing therapeutic, rehabilitative, and diagnostic procedures for patients with cardiopulmonary abnormalities.

Requirements

Candidates must graduate from an AMA/CoARC approved Respiratory Care program, holding an Associate's degree or equivalent education/experience. Required credentials include NBRC Certification (CRT), BCLS certification, and a valid Michigan Respiratory Therapist license.
