Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist

About the Role

Join Denver Health Behavioral Health Services as a Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist providing psychiatric care across multiple hospital units including medical floors, ICUs, labor & delivery, pediatrics, and correctional care. This role offers academic appointments at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and opportunities for teaching, research, and quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric care for hospitalized patients with complex medical and psychiatric conditions.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement evidence-based treatments.
• Consult with primary medical/surgical teams and generate recommendations.
• Provide teaching and supervision to psychiatry residents, psychology interns, APPs, and medical students.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and scholarly work.
• May cover other inpatient psychiatry services as needed.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from accredited medical school.
• Board certified or eligible in Psychiatry.
• Completion of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship preferred.
• Eligible for Colorado medical license.
• BLS certification.

• Salary range: $237,900 - $280,700 annually.

Work Schedule

• 7-on / 7-off schedule (Monday through Sunday).
