About the Role

Join UnityPoint Health as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor – M-F Schedule, Justice-Involved in United States.

Key Responsibilities

Provides direct Community-Based (in the field) mental health assessments, intervention, and consultation to individuals identified by the court system as in need of a potential involuntary commitment.

Evaluates each client for diagnosis, recommends appropriate service (including interviewing client and accompanying family or friends; providing crisis intervention; arriving at recommendation.

Interacts with patients, family, and support systems to reduce barriers and promote progression of care.

Requirements

Licensed Master Social Worker (Provisional License for IA) LSW

Licensed Social Worker (Provisional License for IL) LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Independent License for IL) LISW

Licensed Independent Social Worker (Independent License in IA) Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work
