About the Role

Join Seven Counties Services as a part-time Adult Psychiatrist in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Provide psychiatric clinical services including evaluation, medication management, crisis intervention, and consultation in a community mental health setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric clinical services to adults including evaluation, follow-up, medication management, and emergency/crisis intervention.
• Collaborate with mental health, chemical dependency, and developmental disability staff.
• Oversee quality of psychiatric care through clinician observation and case review.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to policy and resource management.
• Provide consultation services to families and community practitioners.
• Assist in developing system-wide policies and clinical programs.
• Facilitate Joint Commission accreditation efforts.
• Provide staff training on medical topics.

Requirements

• M. D. or D. O. with completed internship and psychiatric residency.
• Special training in adult psychiatry.
• Kentucky medical license.
• Eligible for board certification in adult psychiatry.
• Federal narcotics license.
• Six months of structured experiential learning in psychiatry.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
