Key Responsibilities

Reviews written prescriptions to determine patients needs due to condition, with no anticipated reaction.

Advises physicians and nurses on dosage adjustment, drug interactions, drug/lab interactions, high risk patients, incompatibilities, side effects, and instructions for drug administration.

Attends continuing education programs and reads professional literature to keep current of developments in the field and to maintain licensure.

Participates in development and implementation of patients education programs, pharmaceutical care and lecture programs for nurses, other paramedical personnel and patient counseling.

Suffolk provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $141,442.02
