Key Responsibilities

  • will see you: Undertaking a swallowing assessment Providing therapy as part of a goal-driven rehabilitation program Developing AAC and supported communication aides/methods to enhance care delivery and empower patients to be able to communicate their needs and be involved in their care Providing education (including Point of Care education) to the wider team, family and carers, as indicated Leading a quality improvement activity About you To be successful in this role you’ll bring with you: Eligible for certified practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia and 7+ years of relevant clinical experience Demonstrated clinical skills in assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders Commitment to evidence-based practice and ability to translate this into practice Experience in teaching, training and education High level interpersonal skills that promote team development and engagement, and a proven ability to relate to people at all levels within an organisation Our benefits Working at Austin Health means enjoying a strong sense of purpose, engaging in meaningful work every day.
