Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Eligible
This position qualifies for federal student loan forgiveness. After 10 years of qualifying payments while working full-time for a nonprofit employer, the remaining balance on your Direct Loans may be forgiven.
About the Role
Join the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System as a Psychiatrist in the Women’s Health Clinic at West Los Angeles or Sepulveda VAMC. Provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care to female veterans as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide psycho-diagnostic services and therapeutic interventions.
- Manage medications for various mental disorders.
- Deliver supportive psychotherapy.
- Evaluate and manage urgent psychiatric needs including hospitalization.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team huddles.
- Teach and supervise psychiatry residents with potential UCLA faculty appointment.
Requirements
- U. S. Citizen.
- Doctor of Medicine or equivalent.
- Current, full, unrestricted medical license.
- Completed residency in accredited specialty.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
- Preferred 5+ years practice but not required.
