About the Role
Join University of Iowa as a Clerk III - Family Medicine Clinic - MCU in United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments, tests, and coordinate appointments with other Iowa Health Care departments utilizing the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Serve intermediary between patients and nursing personnel concerning scheduling concerns and medical needs.
- Coordinate appointments with patients and other departments. Negotiate schedule changes with providers and communicates changes with staff/supervisors.
- Facilitate patient flow within the clinic and assist with directing patients to appropriate waiting areas, other UI Health Care clinics and provide parking validation services.
Requirements
- Any combination of related clerical office experience, undergraduate education and/or post high school clerical training that is the equivalent to two years of full
- time employment. Desired Qualifications
- Experience with hospital operations and/or Ambulatory Clinic operations
- Experience with the Epic system
