About the Role

Join University of Iowa as a Clerk III - Family Medicine Clinic - MCU in United States.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule patient appointments, tests, and coordinate appointments with other Iowa Health Care departments utilizing the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Serve intermediary between patients and nursing personnel concerning scheduling concerns and medical needs.

Coordinate appointments with patients and other departments. Negotiate schedule changes with providers and communicates changes with staff/supervisors.

Facilitate patient flow within the clinic and assist with directing patients to appropriate waiting areas, other UI Health Care clinics and provide parking validation services.

Requirements

Any combination of related clerical office experience, undergraduate education and/or post high school clerical training that is the equivalent to two years of full

time employment. Desired Qualifications

Experience with hospital operations and/or Ambulatory Clinic operations

Experience with the Epic system
