Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess communication and oral motor needs, including determining the need for therapeutic intervention, level of functioning, and overall performance.
- Collaborate with audiologists and other professionals to review records, interpret audiological data, and develop appropriate therapy recommendations and service delivery plans.
- Perform ongoing reassessments to monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans based on identified areas of need.
Requirements
- Recommend and support the use of assistive and augmentative communication devices, classroom accommodations, and environmental modifications to enhance student access and participation.
- Identify barriers to learning and provide actionable recommendations to improve student engagement and support the carryover of therapeutic goals across settings.
- Qualifications Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology with a National Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- State Department of Education Certification as Speech Language Therapist required.
