About the Role

Join University Orthopedics as a Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner in United States. Job Title: Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner (PA/NP) Reports To: Dr. Mathew Akelman Division: Hand Location: 725 Reservoir Ave.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain an independent schedule and evaluate patients independently as well as under the direction of the supervising physician.
  • Assist physician in examining and diagnosing hand and upper extremity related conditions.
  • Assist in surgery and collaborate with the physician and surgical team to provide support during the procedure.
  • Order and interpret test results and recommend treatment of patients.

Requirements

  • Must have an active RI PA/NP license or be eligible for a license as a PA/NP in RI.
  • 2 years+ experience as an orthopedic PA/NP or a new PA/NP graduate with orthopedic experience.
  • Interpersonal skills including excellent communication skills to deal effectively with staff, patients, and physicians in a knowledgeable, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient records.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time position.
