About the Role
Join NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Columbia University Irving Medical Center as a full-time Respiratory Therapist specializing in adult care. This role involves day flex shifts from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm with weekend and holiday coverage at a leading academic medical center in New York, NY.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform various respiratory treatments and therapies under physician direction.
- Supervise and monitor Respiratory Technicians.
- Assist in transportation of incubated patients ensuring airway maintenance and ventilation.
- Assess and recommend changes to respiratory therapy modalities.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Applied Science and Respiratory Therapy.
- Current New York State Respiratory Therapist License.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification (BCLS).
- Preferred 1-2 years hospital experience and RRT/CRT certification.
