About the Role

The Palliative Care Physician provides medical care and treatment to patients in the Hospice and Palliative Care programs in Toledo, Ohio. This full-time, in-person position also involves medical student and resident education and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide medical care to hospice and palliative patients.
  • Assist with medical student and resident education.
  • Provide education and outreach in the medical community.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Current license to practice in Ohio and Michigan.
  • Board certified in family medicine, internal medicine, oncology, emergency medicine, or appropriate specialty.
  • Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship trained and board certified or board eligible.
  • Membership eligibility on medical staff of accredited hospitals in the Hospice of Northwest Ohio service area.
  • Minimum three years of medical practice experience.
  • Current DEA in Ohio and Michigan.
