Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Eligible

This position qualifies for federal student loan forgiveness. After 10 years of qualifying payments while working full-time for a nonprofit employer, the remaining balance on your Direct Loans may be forgiven.

This position is located Mental Health Service Line, with primary assignment to Home Based Primary Care (HBPC). The selected Psychologist functions as a consultant on assigned interdisciplinary teams, providing comprehensive assessment and intervention services for veterans receiving home-based primary care services and who are in need of psychological/mental health services. The selectee operates under the supervision of the Program Manager for Geriatrics and Extended Care (GEC) Mental Health. Some of the duties include, but are not limited to;

Acts as fully functional and independent psychologist with the ability to engage in interdisciplinary treatment planning and provision of health care services to the veteran population(s) served

  • Provides a full range of psychodiagnostics services (e. g., psychological/ neuropsychological assessment) using the most appropriate assessment tools and techniques.
  • Provides a full range of therapeutic interventions for patients, caregivers, and families including assessing adjustment to illness/injury
