About the Role

Join Val Verde Regional Medical Center as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant delivering quality primary care in a multidisciplinary team setting in Texas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services including diagnosis, treatment, and referrals.
  • Maintain clinical expertise and competency.
  • Provide clinic sessions including extended hours.
  • Manage a minimum of 3500 primary care encounters annually.
  • Prescribe medications and treatment regimens.
  • Review lab and x-ray reports timely.
  • Provide continuity of care including inpatient and nursing home care.
  • Participate in emergency on-call duties on a scheduled basis.
  • Maintain health records and educate patients and families.
  • Participate in health promotion and clinic meetings.
  • Provide clinical oversight under Medical Director supervision.
  • Train and supervise students and clinical support staff.
  • Participate in community health planning and quality improvement.

Requirements

  • Graduate from accredited nursing or PA program.
  • Current Texas Board certification and DEA registration.
  • Minimum 1 year cardiology experience.
  • Annual continuing education.
