About the Role

Southwest Care Center seeks a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner to provide primary care in a community health center setting in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. This role serves underserved populations with a broad scope including medical and behavioral health.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose patients.
• Order diagnostic tests and prescribe medications.
• Develop and oversee treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members.
• Maintain detailed medical records.
• Lead clinic staff education and quality initiatives.

Requirements

• Completion of Family Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Preferred 3 years experience, especially in primary care.
• Certification by New Mexico Board of Nursing and national FNP certification.
• Experience with HIV care highly desired.

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
• Limited call rotation may be required.
