About the Role

Sanford Health seeks a full-time Physician Assistant for its Black Hills Orthopedic & Spine Center in Rapid City, South Dakota. This role focuses on orthopedic sports medicine with day shifts only.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical guidance in sports medicine.
• Assist physicians in acute, short, and long-term care.
• Perform patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications as authorized.
• Maintain detailed patient records.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and refer patients as needed.

Requirements

• Master's or Baccalaureate degree.
• Completion of ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• DEA permit to prescribe controlled substances.
• Demonstrated competence with at least 30 patients treated in past 12 months or recent graduate.
