About the Role

Join West Virginia University as a Behavioral Health Therapist-BeWell - Carruth Center for Counseling and Psychological Services in United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides in person and virtual clinical services for Health Science students and occasionally the students in other divisions/schools.

• including but not limited to assessment, treatment planning, brief counseling, group therapy, crisis intervention services, psychoeducation, afterhours call, and case management.

• Provides and documents risk assessments and risk reduction interventions.

• Facilitate HSC and other student access and transition to appropriate mental health providers for ongoing pharmacologic and behavioral therapies.

Requirements

• of one (1) years of BH assessment and counseling for traditional and nontraditionally aged university student and/or young adults.

• Demonstrated clinical competence and skills working with substance use and other co-occurring disorders.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and sustain partnerships with HSC and CCPPS faculty and staff.
