Hospice Volunteer (Unpaid)

About the Role

This is an unpaid volunteer position supporting hospice patients and their families in Joplin, Missouri and surrounding areas. Volunteers provide companionship, emotional support, and assist with home management and bereavement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and friendship to hospice clients.
• Assist with community and facility activities.
• Support specialty areas such as Veteran Support, Reiki, Massage, Pet Therapy, and End of Life Doula.
• Help with clerical and office tasks.
• Participate in memorial service planning and bereavement support.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Completion of a criminal background check as per state requirements.
• Meet all applicable state volunteer regulations.
