RN Clinical Documentation Specialist, Contract WI IA IL

About the Role

This is a contract RN Clinical Documentation Specialist role supporting automation within the business office. The position requires 2-3 years of acute care inpatient CDI experience with adult patients. The role is fully remote but candidates must reside in Iowa, Illinois, or Wisconsin.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform concurrent review of medical records to ensure accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with clinicians, coding staff, and CDI leaders to improve data integrity.
• Utilize Epic and CDI software for documentation and query processes.
• Support hospital compliance efforts related to diagnosis coding and DRG assignment.
• Meet productivity and quality standards.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse Certification.
• 2-3 years Clinical Documentation Integrity RN experience in adult acute care.
• Experience collaborating with clinicians and coding staff.
• Epic experience required.
• Work from home space required.
