Hospice Volunteer (Unpaid)

About the Role

This is an unpaid Hospice Volunteer position with BAYADA Home Health Care in Springfield, Missouri. Volunteers provide compassionate support to hospice patients and their families in the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and friendship to clients.
• Assist with home management tasks and caregiver relief.
• Participate in specialty areas such as Veteran-to-Veteran support, Reiki, massage, pet therapy, crafts, and memorial service planning.
• Support bereavement and provide clerical assistance as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Completion of a criminal background check as per state requirements.
• Meet all applicable state volunteer regulations.
