About the Role

Join Amedisys as a Hospice and Palliative Care Physician in Mt Vernon, Indiana. This is a per diem role requiring 1-10 hours monthly, focusing on face-to-face visits and General Inpatient (GIP) patient rounding.

Key Responsibilities

• Function as a consultant to patients, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Evaluate, certify, and recertify terminal prognosis.
• Serve on the Professional Advisory Committee.
• Conduct educational seminars and presentations.
• Provide consultation for acute clinical problems.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree.
• Board certification in hospice and palliative care preferred.
• Current and unencumbered state medical license.
• Membership on medical staff of at least one contracted hospital.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
